Dusk To Dawn Outdoor Light – First steps is, disconnect power from the existing light fitting. Second, remove the existing fixture from the wall plate to expose the wires inside. Connect the wires and dispose of the light fitting. Unscrew the wall plate from the wall, slide off the existing wires and discard. Third, check the wiring for damage. Prepare wires so you have about 12 mm (1/2 inch) bears end of each of the three leads.
Fourth steps to connecting dusk to dawn outdoor light, remove the wall plate from the new light assembly being careful not to damage the weather seal. Press the three wires through the rubber grommet in the rear of the wall plate. Straight wall plate and attach to the wall. Fifeth, make sure the gasket is in place before connecting the three existing lines into the block connector on the rear of the new light assembly. Make sure connections are tight and taut.
Sixth, make sure the gasket is in place and tighten the body of light on the wall plate. Use a small bead of clear silicone along the top and two sides where wallboard and light body meet to prevent any weather penetration into electric. Last, rurn on the RCB or fuse board, the light should come on for a few seconds, then go off. To test dawn to dusk sensor hold your hand over the sensor for a few seconds to block light and the light will illuminate. Remove your hand and the light will go off again. You now have a working dusk to dawn outdoor light.
